Open any Daily newspaper and you will find tons of classified ads about Work at Home Jobs and Make 15000-50000 monthly working from home and so on. But most of these opportunities are just scams

Here is what they do - when you contact them, they ask you to send a deposit which may range from Rs.1000 to Rs.3500. They say this is just to ensure that you are serious about working with them or it’s the security Fees. Of course, this deposit is non-refundable, which means that if you don't like what they offer, you can't even get your money back.


Here is some of the Work at Home Opportunities you should stay away from:


Home Typists/Data Processors/Data Entry Work


This is one of the most common Works at Home opportunity advertised, but is always a scam. Think of this - with all the software available which can convert scanned documents into text, why anyone would want to pay someone to type it for them. Plus, even if they do ask you to type something, the pay would be peanuts - somewhere around Rs.10 a page.

Converting a PDF file into a MS Word takes 4 times the time required to type a page and a small mistake can cost you heavily.


The Home Typist scam works in this way - Their site usually says that they have a database of a few hundred companies which pay you a few dollars or rupees per ad you type. To get the database, all you need to do is pay an entry fee to join their site. This entry fee can vary from Rs.750 to Rs.2500.

Once you make the payment, you are not given any list of companies. You are asked to type in the same ad which you saw before you joined and you are asked to post this ad on different sites. When someone sees your ad and gets scammed, you might probably get paid.

Tutorials Day 01

Day 1: Start Planning



Before we start let's make a list of the most common things that stop people from making money online


1) I just can't do it - You think you are not smart enough to start making money online. Guess what, you do not have to be a genius. All you need is to be able to read on the computer screen and follow the tips and you can do it.


2) I live in _____ and no one here makes money from the Internet. I don't care if you live on an island on the Atlantic Ocean, as long as you are connected to the Internet, you can do this. Even I am living in one of the Remote Cities Of Uttar Pradesh and I Am earning from it.




3) Too much info, I don't understand. This is a major problem. Some people offer too much info - 200 page e-books, 7 CDs and what not. But what you actually need is a step by step system and that is what I am going to give you.





Let's start today with what you need to start making money online. Here is a short list:


- a computer with internet access (if you don't have access to internet at home, you         can do it in a cyber cafe too)
- a website (even a free one will do)
- a topic to build your website on
- an Ad Sense account
- and last, but not the least, 1-2 hours everyday.



Great! So here is what I want you to do. Take a piece of paper and start jotting down all the stuff you are interested in. This could be hobbies like gardening, stamp collecting etc. Or this could be a skill like classical music, playing the guitar. Or maybe sports - cricket, basketball, whatever!




Don't spend too much time trying to think if you can make a website on it. Just start jotting down the topics.


Then narrow it down - select one of these topics and write down everything you would like to see on a website on this topic


For example, if it is a site about cricket, you can write about what cricket is, how it is played, which are the top teams now and who are the popular players, what the top score.... is and the list will go on.





See how easy it is... in just 5 minutes, you have got every aspect of your website covered and all you need to do is just start creating it.

Day 2: Register for Webspace



How’s it going? I hope you have enjoyed my tips till now. If you have, then you will love what's going to come.




Now that you have a topic ready and also some products you can promote, let's start working on your website.


First of all, go and register for some webspace. A lot of people ask me whether they should go for free webspace or paid webspace, and this is what I tell them:




If you are new and are just starting out, go for free webspace. But remember to shift to paid-hosting as soon as you can afford it. The reason is that all these free web hosting sites mention in their terms and conditions that the content on their sites is owned by them. This means, if you have a popular site, the free webhost can claim it is their content and strip you of all your income.


It sounds scary, but it is true - I. They worked so hard on their websites and one fine day, lost everything. So my advice, start with free webspace, but once you make money, the first investment should be on paid hosting. And paid hosting is not very expensive. For $47 (Rs.2250) a year, you can get webspace plus domains. Isn't your peace of mind and guarantee of income worth $47. 


Well, let's get back to our task - so if you don't have a website and can't spare $47, register for free webspace. You can check out either geocities.com or blogspot.com.


While selecting a name for your website, try to think of something which will suit your topic. For example, if the topic is bonsais, the website could be bonsais.geocities.com. Or bonsais.blogspot.com

Day 3: Build Your Website


Here Am going to explain how to create a website using blogger.com
Step 1: Sign Up to Create a Blog at Blogger.com

Visit the Blogger.com home page and select the "Create Your Blog Now" button to begin the process to start your new Blogger.com blog.

Step 2: Create a Google Account

If you don't already have a Google account, you'll need to create one by completing the form on this page.


Step 3: Sign In with Your Google Account

If you already have a Google account, you can bypass the "Create Google Account" step and simply sign in with your existing Google account username and password.


Step 4: Name Your New Blog

Enter the blog name and corresponding domain name (to precede '.blogspot.com') in the spaces provided.


Step 5: Choose a Template

Select a standard template for your new blog.


Step 6: Congratulations - Your New Blog is Active!

Your blog is now live and ready for you to start writing content.


Step 7: Write Your First Post

That's all there is to it! You're now ready to write your first blog post in your new Blogger.com blog and join the blogosphere.

Let's go on to today's task. Today, we will start creating your website. Apart from webspace, a good website builder is one of the most important investments you can make to earn money online. Now, for those who signed up for free webspace, check out if you have a page builder or site builder in your account. This will help you build your webpages.





When you build your website, remember these things


- Keep the layout simple. This means no flashy graphics, no rotating images etc. This just distracts your reader and you will end up not making any money at all.




- Make sure you have a good navigation menu. This means, users should be able to access your menu from all pages


Stick to one topic. Each website should have one topic and one topic only. If you start a site about gardening, don't jump over to sports or anything else by the third page.

I'm sure you have finished creating your website by now. Now, today we will apply for an AdSense account. Google AdSense helps you make money from your website by placing small text ads on your site. The best part of it is that the ads are related to your website content, and whenever visitors click on the ads, you make money. How simple is that




Signing up for Google AdSense is as easy as applying for an email account, but you need a website to apply for it, and as I told you earlier you can use www.50webs.com, you website will be http://yourdomainname.50webs.com




www.geocities.com http://yourdomainname.geocities.com


And if you want to make it fast, use google blogs, www.blogspot.com or www.blogger.com, blogs allow you have a webpage as fast you want it to be, you don’t need a website builder, if you are interested in using blogs, a lot of people around the world using blogs to earn money and earning so much that you can’t even think of.




For applying for GOOGLE ADSENSE You have to just fill up information like you name, email, postal address, and the website link. It will take two minutes for you to sign up. 


If you need more information on Google AdSense Just follow the steps at the site and sign up for an AdSense account. Once you have applied for an AdSense account, be patient - it could take from 1 - 5 days for your application to be reviewed. They will review your website and if they found is according to the norms of the GOOGLE ADSENSE POLICY’S, they will allow you. It might be faster too, so keep your fingers crossed.




Creating website or blog isn’t all enough, you have to tell people that there is something like your website exists, so go advertising, paste your website links on different FORUMS, send the link to your friends, so that more and more people will visit your pages. It will be disappointing for a few couple of weeks, but sooner you will get the good results. Even there was a time when I was making just 0.2 or 0.5 $ a day.


In addition to advertising and posting link, submit your website to different search engines, like GOOGLE, YAHOO, MSN etc, make your websites optimized according the norms of the search engines. If you are ready to spend few bucks some search websites which allows submission to various search engines by paying them a few bucks.


Now when You Google Adsense Account is activated place the ads on your website in such a manner that the visitor will think that it’s the content of the website otherwise you will end up no where. Do read GOOGLE ADSENSE TERMS AND CONDITIONS and POLICY’S before posting the advertisements.




While adding the HTML codes of adsense on your pages, make sure that color of the fonts, background look like the same as your webpages, so when a visitor is scrolling on your pages, he will found the ads having the same content as your website and think that these aren’t ads but the part of the website, so he will click on it and you will get the money and he will get the content he want, Google pays somewhere in between 0.03 – 0.50$ (Rs1.0 to Rs.22) per click. Just think of that if you getting 1000 click per day, you will get something in between 30$ - 100$ per day. The all you have to do is to force visitor to click on the ads.

Don’t get panic on seeing term HTML codes, GOOGLE ADSENSE will tell you how to paste the adsense codes and its to easy to change the colures of the ads.

Wait

Read the Adsense terms and policies before posting adsense codes on your website. Google Adsense is very strict; if he will see any policy violation it will discontinue your account for ever.

Some common mistakes that a user usually do—

·  Do not paste more than three ad units on one page,

· Do not fiddle with Adsense codes.

· Do not click on your ads, if you do it accidentally tell them you made a mistake.

· Do not put competitive advertisements on your websites.

· Do not make a website having the adult content. Google is very strict against pornography and adult material. They will ban you without even giving a second chance.

Myth Number 2: I will start receiving mGinger ads from the moment I register.


When you said “I want a maximum of 10 ads per day” during sign-up, it doesn’t mean that you will get 10 ads every day from the moment you sign up. It is just a preference, a maximum. You might receive no ads on some days, 1 ad on some and so on up to a maximum of 10 ads on some days.
